Expand your social circle in three simple steps

Choose Your People

Choose the people you want to connect with by joining groups that interest you. Also, completing our 'Like-minded' questionnaire introduces you to people with similar views, values, and lifestyles, and serves as a great icebreaker for a chat.

Join a Get-Together

Join our online or in-person get-togethers. From online quizzes and book clubs to in-person drinks, meals, or coffees, these gatherings offer a great opportunity to meet new people in or around your area.

And Repeat...

Enjoying a get-together is easy - getting to know new people takes a little more time. Regularly meeting the people you get on with and consistently attending get-togethers greatly improves your chances of finding friends who will stick.

Start meeting new people in-person or online!

Kickstart your journey to new friendships, whether in-person or online. Participating in social gatherings is the most effective way to meet new people. Scroll through the options below to see just a few of the many upcoming events.

How do you find people who are “like-minded”?

It's quite simple. We ask you some questions about the things you enjoy—your lifestyle, views, values, and preferences. Then, we run your answers through an algorithm and introduce you to like-minded people via email. Additionally, when you look at someone else's profile, we'll show you how similar your answers are, all without revealing the your answers (which are kept private).

Having common interests, likes, and views is not the be-all and end-all when it comes to good friendships, but they are a great starting point. Our like-minded report helps you identify areas where your interests and views overlap with others. This can be a great ice-breaker and give you and others more reason to invest a little more time in pursuing a potential friendship.

What members say

Comments from across the UK.

I really enjoy using Frindow. I have had the opportunity as a user to connect with other users of the site and I feel part of an on-line community that is friendly and supportive. I have one good on-line friend and I have been able to join in fun conversations on site and also to extend friendship and support to other users. Thank goodness for a site that feels safe and secure for women to use and where friendship is what matters.

Bristol, South West

I’m adjusting to being on my own but joining Frindow has  meant I've never felt 'alone', as such. There's always someone ready for a chat and it has a real 'community' feel.

Even though I’ve only been a member of Frindow a short while I already feel part of a much larger community. There are light-hearted daily chats with regulars and I now have a new mix of online friends and people I’ve been able to meet up with locally. Frindow has helped open my world back up!

Horsham, West Sussex

I have found frindow to be a good site to get to know people and also to help those who are going through a difficult time in their life. People ask me what makes me happy, and my answer to that is, "making other people happy". Frindow helps me to do that.

Southend-on-Sea, East of England

Thank you for creating this site. Never found anything quite like it and I think it is brilliant. So nice to find friends rather than those who are looking for a more romantic outcome.

Expand Your Social Circle

Making new friends made easy.

How does it work?

Some of us live alone and love the freedom of it. Many of us, though, find ourselves in this situation not by choice but due to circumstances beyond our control. This is often because of a relationship breakdown, bereavement, or the necessity to work in a new area or country. If you don’t have friends or family readily available, your spare time can feel quite boring.

The good news is that Frindow makes finding new friends easy. How? It's simple. We organise events (get-togethers, as we call them) that are low-stress, casual, and frequent. We hold our get-togethers in cafes, pubs, bars, restaurants, parks, and sometimes cinemas, usually in or around your local area.

As well as providing many opportunities to meet, we also have an online community if getting out and about isn't your thing. We offer online get-togethers, forums, and thousands of users online to strike up a conversation with.

Frindow has a number of groups that you can join to easily identify people with common interests. Furthermore, we have a detailed questionnaire that tells you how like-minded you are with someone else based on your responses to the same questions.

We can't change the fact that you're living alone, but we can help make your spare time much more fulfilling with some new friends.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Frindow free to use?

Mainly, yes. There are optional features that you can buy credits for. There are absolutely no subscriptions, so no monthly fees to pay. Some get-togethers are free. Others cost less than a cup of coffee to sign up to. Our Buy Your Own policy keeps the get-togethers affordable too.

How do I meet new people?

Frindow provides constant opportunities to meet others online or in person through get-togethers, forums, private messaging, and generally being part of a community that also wants to meet new people.

How long does it take to make new friends?

It very much depends on you. We organise many in-person events all across the U.K, so attending them is the surest way to meet and get to know new people.

Will I meet people who live close?

Our aim is to find you potential friends who live as close as possible, making it convenient for you to have a local social group. We have frequent get-togethers and will alert you to them if any are coming up in your area.

I live outside of the UK. Can I use Frindow?

Currently, Frindow is only available to UK residents. We will be expanding into other countries in the near future.
